For many years now, I have read the words “someone needs to to something” from literally thousands of readers and emails. I’ve always wondered, who is the “someone” they think is supposed to “do something?”
These words are usually uttered in complete disapproval and disdain for the incredibly horrific job our elected public servants are doing and it has gone on forever, getting worse year by year, no matter who is elected. That’s because the real clean up is massive, an undertaking unlike any before it and most simply don’t have the backbone to do it.
All the way at the adoption of our Declaration of Independence, our nations’ Founders spoke about this;
“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”
No Pain, No Gain!
For over 200-years now, the American people have proven these words to be true and very accurate. Left unattended by the People from whom all political power is derived, every government will eventually become despotic in nature, destructive of the very original purpose of government, to protect and defend the Natural Rights of the People.
As in, “to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity;” - The U.S. Constitution
The people hopelessly pray for a painless way to restore our Constitutional Republic, and there isn’t one. Long term gains will cost every American short term pain.
Surely, the American People do not expect those responsible for underming and destroying our Constitutional Republican form of self-governance, to right this ship for us, do we?
If not the politicians, the judges, the lawyers, the governors, or legislators, then who?
Who is the “someone” supposed to “do something” when our government has become destructive of its sole purpose?
“I’m just one person, what can I do?”
Alone, all by your little ole self, there isn’t anything you can do, and neither can the rest of us. However, together, there is nothing we cannot do.
You, me, WE are the “someone” supposed to “do something.” If it isn’t us, then it’s nobody! We can’t do it alone, which means we will have to do it together.
When? NOW
Where? Anywhere we can find others of like-mind and spirit willing to work together towards our common goals.
How? By whatever means necessary…
100%.
